| WWII Nominal Roll Robert Small died on the 15th of December 1943 in Thailand Ancestry: When Robert Gordon Small was born on April 9, 1921, in Donald, Victoria, Australia, his father, Frederick, was 34 and his mother, Julie, was 40. He had one brother and two sisters. He died on December 15, 1943, at the age of 22, and was buried in Kanchanaburi, Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Robert Small played for the “Richmond” team in the first football competition held in Changi. They won the premiership and the players were awarded certificates.
