| WWII Nominal Roll Camperdown Chronicle 05/06/1947 Played for Mortlake pre war in Hampden League and reports of him playing in Mortlake 2nds in 1947 Mortlake Avenue of Honour Veterans Group: Representing Victoria was VX45167 Gunner Harvey Perkins of the 2nd/4th Anti-Tank Regiment. Born in England, Harvey Perkins resided in and played football for Mortlake before the war. In total he served outside of Australia for 1732 days and on his release and return to Australia was finally discharged from the 2nd AIF on the 16th January 1946. Ancestry: When Harvey Richard Perkins was born in 1918 in Mutford, Suffolk, his father, Joseph, was 40 and his mother, Tillie/Matilda, was 38. He married Edna Faye Bryant in 1945 in Victoria. They had one child during their marriage. He died on 19 October 1989 in Woorndoo, Victoria, at the age of 71. |
