| WWII Nominal Roll Identified in the History of the 13th General Hospital under the list of corporals. Sporting Globe 13/10/1945 lists L. Byrne as playing for Carton side in first Changi football competition and says he was from Collingwood 2nds but not listed on Collingwood Reserves player website Changi Brownlow (Perry) lists Byrne of 13th Australian General Hospital, Abbotsford as kicking one goal Enlistment records identify Lawrence’s next of kin as living in Abbotsford so assume this is the same Byrne as the Football Life list. |
